Depending on the institution that you are applying to, you must follow the corresponding application procedure. 

Depending on your nationality, your residence country, your High school certificate and the level of studies you want to join, the process may differ to apply to a Higher education institution in France.

If you want to join the French higher education system for 2024-2025, here are the important dates :

Parcoursup (*official dates for 2024 are yet to be released)
(French citizens and applications in an IUT)
  • Platform opens in December 2023
  • Start of registrations: 18 January 2024
  • Complete your list of academic choices before: 8 March 2024 included
  • Complete your file before: 6 April 2024 included

*The application dates for all levels of study (undergraduate and Masters) are the same, even if the procedures are slightly different.

DAP – “Demande d’Admission Préalable”
(students applying for the first year of undergraduate studies, and all levels of architecture studies

  • Registrations open on  1st October 2023
  • Registrations close on 15 December 2023
  • Payment deadline: 28 February 2024
  • Application interviews in January-February 2024 (via Zoom)

Your application will be examined simultaneously by the 3 universities (2 universities for architecture) you have applied to. 

  • University response and offers of acceptance: before 30 April 2024
    Universities will be able to inform you of any proposed fee-exemptions that may be available to you. 
     
  • Student response: before 31 May 2024
    If you have received several acceptance offers, you will have to choose one.
    CAREFUL, if you do not answer before 31 May, the absence of an answer will be considered as a refusal of the institutions' offers.

(students applying for Masters, Licence 2 and Licence 3)

  • Registrations open on  1st October 2023
  • Registrations close on 15 December 2023

  • University response and offers of acceptance: before 31 March 2024
    Universities will be able to inform you of any proposed fee-exemptions that may be available to you. 
     
  • Student response: before 15 May 2024
    If you have received several acceptance offers, you will have to choose one.
    Careful, if you do not answer before 15 May, the absence of an answer will be considered as a refusal of the institution's offer.
