INSA-Lyon was founded in 1957 and particularly values different origins, cultures and social backgrounds, with 28% of its students coming from outside France.
Engineers who graduate from INSA are highly adaptable in their careers and have a pioneering approach to science and technology, and a strong sense of social responsibility.
INSA Lyon boasts 23 research laboratories, more than 600 researchers and teacher-researchers, 650 PhD students, and over 1,000 industrial contracts with the socio-economic world.
INSA-Lyon offers a programme at Bachelor’s level which is entirely taught in English. The SCAN program is a 2-year course, affiliated with the Core Foundation Engineering Program, which prepares students to join one of the 9 specialisation departments for the final 3 years of their engineering degree (5-year integrated engineering program).
The institute also offers various exchange opportunities in English and short programmes for learning French.
