Reserved for non-European students, the "student-in-competition" short-stay visa allows you to come to France to sit an exam or an admission interview in an institute of higher education.
WHAT DOES THE "STUDENT-IN-COMPETITION" SHORT-STAY VISA Offer?
The "student-in-competition" (étudiant concours) short-stay visa only concerns non-European students and is only valid in France. It allows you to come to France to sit an exam or an admission interview in an institute of higher education.
For admissions, the "student-in-competition" short-stay visa enables you to request a student residency permit from the Prefecture without having to return to your country of residence. In the event of failure, you will have to leave France as soon as the results are published.
HOW TO OBTAIN A "STUDENT-IN-COMPETITION" SHORT-STAY VISA?
To submit your request, contact the French consular authorities in your country of residence. Note that the "student-in-competition" short-stay visa will only be granted if the results of the competition or admission interview are known within three months.
